Despite the continued success of The Chainsmokers, releasing hit after hit, let’s be real…most of their songs sound exactly the same.

If you haven’t noticed, a simple three chord succession is the basic formula of every damn Chainsmokers song, married with the same meaningless lyrics dribbling on about nothing. But hey if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, right?!

Pianist John Fassold has taken the duo to task, creating his own Chainsmokers’ song off the top of his head. Quickly playing along with a basic three-chord structure and making up nonsense lyrics about Febreeze, laundry detergent, the city of Santa Fe, and basically, “lyrics that talk about how hard it is being white and in love”.

The vid is just basically taking the piss out of the U.S band, so if you’re a fan of the ‘Closer’ musos, this vid may not be for you. But considering the insane success of the EDM duo, I’m sure they’re not losing much sleep over the roast sesh, instead snoozing it up in their beds filled with money.
