WATCH: Texas Chainsaw Massacre Prequel ‘Leatherface’ Has A Trailer & No, No, Nope
I watch a lot of horror trailers for this gig, and I can tell you now, this redband trailer for the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel is deeply unnerving. It’s actually on the side of truly terrifying. It’s a NOPE from me.
The upcoming horror will act as an origin story for the Texas Chainsaw mythology and is called Leatherface. So if you’d ever wondered what happened to that crazy Sawyer kid which gave him an insatiable taste for chainsaws, now is your chance.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead.
“Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface.”
Tbh, it doesn’t look like a great time. And there’s enough human skin tapestry to turn any empty stomach. The prequel is getting a U.S run in October but an Australian release hasn’t been confirmed as yet. Stay tuned.
