WATCH: There’s Now Augmented Reality Version Of The ‘Take On Me’ Film Clip
Augmented Reality (AR) might have the ability to transport us into futuristic worlds, but that doesn’t mean the new immersive technology can’t bring us nostalgic 80’s joy.
Some genius has recreated A-Ha’s legendary 1985 music video for ‘Take On Me’ for an AR headset and it’s awesome. It’s a fully immersive 80’s experience. The video is created by Trixi Studios who say they were inspired by the intersection of emerging mass technology like ARKit and visual effects that traditionally have been difficult to recreate. There’s no editing trickery here -everything you see in the video below is captured live by the camera in the headset.
Unfortunately, the group behind the clip aren’t planning to create an app or any form of distribution for this – but we reckon they probably should take it on.
