WATCH: The New Trailer For ‘Annabelle: Creation’ Will Really Toy With Your Emotions
It’s demonic doll season, as Warner Bros has just dropped the second trailer for Annabelle: Creation.
ICYMI, it’s the follow-up film to 2014’s (v. average) horror flick Annabelle, which was actually a prequel to 2013’s hit The Conjuring. Are you keepin’ up? It’s a complicated and scary universe.
The new trailer flashes back to the origin story of Annabelle, as we meet a couple – a dollmaker and his wife – who after losing their own child, take in a group of orphaned girls. Creepy orphan girls. Great. From there, it gets even more freaky and horrifying.
The fourth film in The Conjuring universe stars Australia’s own Anthony Lapaglia and Miranda Otto. If we judge on the trailer alone, the film quality appears to be a step above the first Annabelle. Combined that with The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2’s James Wan returning to produce the film, it could well be one of the best horrors of the year so far.
Annabelle: Creation hits Aussie cinemas 10 August, 2017.
