WATCH: The Only US Election Song You Need To Hear ‘Holy Sh*t (You’ve Got To Vote)’
As the US gets set to head to the polls to elect their next president, as a final voice of reason Funny or Die has made an election plea through song, to vote for Hillary Clinton over human garbage aka Donald Trump.
The song aptly titles ‘Holy Sh*t (You’ve Got to Vote)’ is led by Rachel Bloom of wonderful program Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, who kicks off by the video saying, “Hey America, this is Rachel Bloom. You may not recognize my hands, but you may not recognize my face also”.
It features a mashup of famous faces like Moby, Elizabeth Banks, Patti Lupone, Adam Scott and Amber Rose.
Like other songs to come out of the election, it plays up the fact that celeb-stuff message songs are generally trite overly-sentimental rubbish.
With lyrics like, “‘We are the World’ type songs are tired but Donald Trump is a garbage fire,” and “Donald Trump is human syphilis and we could be the antidote,” – it’s just a great fucking song.
