Wendy’s Dropped A Surprisingly Fire Mixtape And They’re Beefin’ With Macca’s
As far as fast-food chain PR stunts go, this one honestly takes the cake. Wendy’s just dropped a hip-hop EP and it is actual fire.
Of all of America’s major fast-food establishments, Wendy’s has a rep for their sassy social media ‘persona’ and being savage to their competitors on the internet. They’re masters of their trade.
Now, their PR team has taken things to an extreme level with this five-track, nearly nine minutes long, hip-hop mixtape that Wendy’s has titled “We Beefin?”.
You wouldn’t expect an EP released by a joint that specialises in hamburgers to be this damn good but low and behold, it is GREAT. It’s full of mad disses to their major competitor Macca’s and it should sound silly but it just works. Their spittin’ lines like:
“You No. 1? That’s a joke / Why your ice cream machine always broke?”
“Mcdonalds be so lazy / I know the reason you hatin’ me ’cause I’m fast food’s First Lady”
It’s a strong strategy that they’ve borrowed from Hamburger Helper’s viral mixtape of 2016 and it’s impressive content. You can have a listen to the Wendy’s mixtape on Spotify or Apple Music and get around the weirdest musical production of the year so far.
The people have spoken, and they can’t resist the sweet beats Wendy’s is slinging.
It was definitely..unexpected
Wooooooow they're not joking, they're really beefin' https://t.co/cbQAmLszgP

I mean, sure, not everyone is happy about it.
I'm convinced that every time the world was supposed to end, it did. But we just branched into a timeline where it didn't. And it keeps happenig. And now we're stuck in the worst timeline https://t.co/oUdpu7SwQx
