We are at the time of year, where it has finally dropped to below 20 degrees on a regular basis *GASP*. No longer will you see your makeup drip off your nose right in front of you, or claim the nickname ‘panda eyes’ at the end of the day because you sweated off your mascara.

Although it may seem like a relief, winter brings a whole new set of rules for makeup. Even if you’re not prone to it, this winter will inevitably bring you face to face with a new foe…DRY PATCHES. The horror.

It might be cold AF outside, but stop crying into your bowl of soup and step out into the world with a contour sharp enough to cut a bitch, and a highlight bright enough to blind your neighbours.

So, to maintain your reputation of being #makeupgoals, here’s what you need to do to change up your beauty routine this winter. Scroll between our six tips below by hitting ‘next’.

SIX WINTER MAKEUP TIPS

1. MOISTURISE, MOISTURISE, MOISTURISE

Yes, it’s painfully obvious but it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for anything to sit well on your skin if it is dry and patchy. Even if you’re not a dry person, you should never apply your foundation first. Primer isn’t essential, however moisturiser is. Especially in winter. Don’t skip it like you skipped that run this morning cause it was ‘too cold’.
