WOAH: Tim Robards From ‘The Bachelor’ Is About To Compete In ‘Australian Ninja Warriors’
We never expected a The Bachelor and Australian Ninja Warriors crossover… but here we are. It’s been confirmed today that S1 bachy Tim Robards will compete on the Gladiator-style game show.
Endermol Shine producer Julie Ward confirmed to News.com that Tim will be among some of the famous faces to appear on the show. Tim himself broke the news via Instagram, posting:
“Getting excited for this to drop! Whilst rehabbing off the back of bicep surgery last year I thought… why not put myself thru one of the toughest obstacle courses in the world,” he wrote.
“Having a goal actually made me super diligent and focussed and positive about my recovery… but did I fall on the first obstacle.”
Ward confirmed that along with Tim, other famous athletes will compete on the reality competition.
“We’ve got Tim Robards, Beau Ryan, Adam Cooney, Justice Crew and a good selection of Olympians.”
Ummm Justice Crew?! Yes, you read that right. ICYMI, members of the rap/dance group Samson Smith and John Pearce appeared on last night’s ep.
Producers also added that they had trouble getting Aussie celebs on board before filming began last December and are hopeful that the next season will be jam-packed with well-known faces.
“I do think that first seasons are a playground for the brave and I think a lot of people sit back and go, ‘I’ll wait and see how it goes,’ and then afterwards go, ‘Oh yeah, I could take that on’.”
Tim appears ready to take on the series, and get his ninja awwwn. If he’s latest insta-pics are much to go on, I reckon he’s up for the challenge…
