We’re In Awe Of This Footage Of The World’s Biggest Wave Ever Surfed And NOPE!
Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa, equal parts courageous and fucking crazy, has just nabbed the record for surfing the tallest wave ever.
The insane footage captured off the coast of Nazare, Portugal shows Koxa rocketing down the 80ft (24.4-metre) collapsing mountain of water, which would likely spit him up and crush him to death ten-times over with the slightest slip.
For anyone who’s been chewed up and spat out by a small coastal shore-breaker, you’ll appreciate just how fucked ol’ Koxa would have been by slightly misjudging his balance. In the footage supplied by AFP, the surfer is a tiny speck against the avalanche of whitewater chasing him down.

The wave was actually caught back in November last year but was finally awarded the gong on Saturday night at the World Surf League‘s ‘Big Wave Awards’. Check out the gnaarly footage below.
