The First ‘You’ Teaser For Season 3 Is Here, Along With A Premiere Date
After a wait that felt like 84 years, Netflix phenomenon You is finally about to drop its third season. A premiere date has been announced, along with a bloody trailer to tease what’s to come.
We last rendezvoused with Joe (Penn Badgley) back in 2019, as he escaped New York City — leaving a slew of dead bodies in his wake — and attempted to start fresh in Los Angeles. After killing his first obsession, Beck (Elizabeth Lail), Joe then turned his attention to Love (Victoria Pedretti) in Season 2.
This was good news for Joe and Love, but not so good for Love’s brother Forty (James Scully) — who ended up dying in the final episode after getting caught up in Joe’s web of lies. You’d think this would be enough to make Love dump Joe, but it just so happened these star-crossed lovers were even more meant to be than Joe ever anticipated: Love is also a straight-up psychopathic murderer.
Season 3 will pick up where the Season 2 finale left off, with Love pregnant with Joe’s child and the murderous couple relocating to the suburbs to embrace that white picket fence life. In the new teaser, Joe reveals that their baby is a boy, who they named Henry. Joe says that is worried that Henry will inherit his bloodlust. “Let’s just say I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do,” Joe muses, as he ices a cake in the grisly trailer.
The new season drops on Netflix on October 15.
