Joe Is Back On His Creepy Bullshit In The ‘You’ Season 4 Teaser
Netflix phenomenon You is back for Season 4 and this time Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgely) is getting his stalk on in London, innit!
Season 3 ended with the serial killer being presumed dead after murdering his wife Love (Victoria Pedretti) and burning their suburban home to the ground, but then a final scene hinted that he had moved to Paris. In the Season 4 teaser, Joe has found himself in London living under a new identity, Professor Jonathan Moore.
He whips off his signature baseball hat and we cop a glimpse of a new look for Joe, who is wearing a two-piece suit and sporting a full beard.
“Allow me to introduce myself: I’ve gone through a bit of refinement upon crossing the pond. And living in London has allowed me to bury the past if you will,” Joe says in the teaser.
“Gone are the days of unrequited love and longing. This time around I’m focusing on academia and instruction while keeping my typical extracurricular activities strictly professional.”
Yeah right, buddy. As Joe narrates, three women flash across the screen — Joe’s Season 3 love interest Marienne, literature major Nadia, and art gallery director Kate — while Joe leers in the background. The new season will also introduce new characters: Rhys, Phoebe, Adam, Simon, Sophie, Gemma, Connie, and Blessing.
“With friends in high places, there always come others attempting to climb that social ladder,” Joe continues. “So they end up falling or, shall I say, pushed to their social deaths. The question is, by whom?”
Me thinks Joe will soon be up to his old tricks. Part One of Season 4 drops on February 10 and Part Two on March 10.
