You’ll FINALLY Be Able To Switch Between Accounts On Instagram

Tell us you love Punkee without telling us you love Punkee. Sign up to our newsletter, and follow us on Instagram and Twitter. It'll mean the world.

That’s right. You’re insta-prayers have been answered this evening with Instagram announcing they’ll finally let users switch between multiple accounts.

Instagram

The news is a huge relief for anyone who manages a business, brand, blog or account for their pet. All that logging out, logging in, logging out is a tedious pain in the arse that makes it all too easy to accidentally post your weekend late-night selfie to your company page. Been there.

Android Police report that some Android users are already lucky enough to have the feature within their app with others likely cop the update over the coming weeks. Unfortunately, there’s no news on when it’ll hit iOS.

It’ll work much like the way Twitter’s feature has, where users can select their profile and a dropdown will appear with linked profiles. Completely painless gramming all-day and all-night. Thanks Zuck!

Here’s a screenshot of how it looks via Android Police:

Instagram Feature

Android Police reports that to access the feature, you can head into the settings and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list.

If you’re one of the lucky ones, you should see an Add Account option below Clear Search History. Tap it and you’ll have the option to sign in with another account or create a new one from scratch. Once that’s done, you should be able to see a selector next to the account nickname on the top of your profile page, just like in the screenshot. YAY!
