We’ve made it halfway through 2020! And, considering what this year has been like so far, we deserve one hell of a reward.
Luckily, with the worst of iso now behind us, Oporto’s doors are wide open and we’re free to dive face-first* into an iconic Bondi Burger®. (*probably not the official wording from the chief medical officer, but it’s fine).
Why would you launch your face into some fresh-grilled chicken rn? For a limited time, Oporto is bringing back the $12.95 Bondi Strip Box: a legendary deal ft. a single Bondi Burger®, two Crispy Chicken Strips, chips, dip and a drink. What. A. Feast.
But there’s another reason to get involved: the Bondi Burger® symbolises that perfect summer we totally just didn’t get to have. And I’m taking it back.
The Bondi Burger® was one of the OG creations from Oporto’s founder Antonio Cerqueira back in the ‘80s when he opened a chicken shop in North Bondi. With chicken breast fillets, crisp lettuce, cheese, creamy mayo and the legendary Original Chilli Sauce, it was a little slice of Portugal you could grasp by the fistful on the sunny sands of Bondi.
We can’t head to Portugal any time soon, but we can head in to Oporto. And, after months and months of subpar home cooking and failed sourdough, that sounds pretty good to me.
