Yowies Will Return To Aussie Shores After Getting Second Life In US

When I was growing up, you were either a Kinder Surprise kid or a Yowie-head. The main difference between the toy-filled choccys was that Kinder Surprises had white chocolate inside, but Yowies always seemed like the cooler choice.

I fell into the Yowie camp – mostly because white chocolate is for suckers, but also as Yowies are a uniquely Australian chocolate, unlike the fancy schmancy Italian alternative.

Eventually kids lost interest in the good ol’ Yowie, and a decade ago they tragically stopped making the lil delicious critters. But amazing news has now filtered to our shores, as Yowies have started to pop back up in the US, they’re going back into production in Australia.

YOWIES ARE COMING HOME!

Today Tonight have reported that Aussies will be able to buy Yowies “shortly”, after the product has found huge success in the US.

There is no exact time-frame for when we can expect to see Yowies back in supermarkets but stay tuned.
