Zayn Malik’s New Track “Pillowtalk” Has Hit Number One On The Australian Charts
Taking a new direction has paid off for rogue 1D member, Zayn Malik with his debut solo single ‘Pillowtalk‘ hitting number one on the Australian iTunes charts this week, only three days after it was released. The 23-year-old singer’s track is also motoring up the local Spotify charts where it’s already the most streamed song this week globally.
‘Pillowtalk’ has already been a huge success for Zayn, after its release on the weekend the ol’ boy was trending worldwide on Twitter before shooting to the top of 60 iTunes charts around the globe.
Zayne’s pretty stoked and probably relieved about the ordeal, posting to his fans on Twitter:

The steamy video for the single features Zayn and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid having a smouldering make-out session although he has hinted he wrote the song about his former fiancée Perrie Edwards.
Zayn told Zane Lowe in an interview with Apple Music’s Beats 1 that he started writing his upcoming album, ‘Mind of Mine‘, when he was still engaged to Perrie.
And his black and white tattoo of the Little Mix star is visible on his upper right arm in the video.
