Zoey 101 was absolutely peak 2000’s teen TV and it came and went too quickly. Of course, the legacy lives on in spite of only gracing us with four seasons.

Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 was responsible for introducing us properly to Britney Spear’s baby sis, Jamie Lynn Spears, who played the very loveable Zoey Brooks (if you just overlook the relatively mediocre acting skills).

Jk you were a star Jamie

Anyway, this was a critical text that defined naughtie’s teen show culture and actually cast kids of an appropriate age group to play the kids! Groundbreaking! There was a lot to love about Zoey 101 and cringe scripting was just one of the cornerstones of great teen TV.

We’re going to take a moment to commemorate some of the great things that made Zoey 101 such a glorious show. There is no room for non-believers and Zoey-haters so please only fun, love and nostalgia welcome here and let’s take a walk down memory lane through prime 2000’s content. Here we go.

1. Their utopian dream of a high school was ultimate fantasy

Who could forget Pacific Coast Academy, the most lit Californian boarding school that ever did exist in the fictional universe. The kids were basically living the college lyf before they’d even hit puberty and between the sushi bar and the cinema, it was all pretty too good to be true. But hey, what is TV if not a ripe opportunity for dreaming.

Same.

2. Zoey’s iconic fashion statements

Key on a necklace…Zoey’s idea you guys!!! Such fashion forward! Zoey wins all the awards!!! We all wanted one tbh.

Still not sure how practical this was when it came to opening her door but anyway, Zoey’s key necklace was iconic.

Zoey was a damn stylish gal and there’s no denying it.

^^Rocking millennial pink before it was a thing because this is called being fashion forward my friends.

3. Lola Martinez was a boss bitch

When Lola arrived on the show rocking her goth-punk aesthetic, there was no question that she was a boss female character here to bring some fierce hair game to the show.

These looks are 4eva inspo.

Always wanted to work fluorescent highlights to reach Lola levels of cool.

Hat game too strong can’t handle.

Haha ok hat game might actually be TOO strong here

YES Lola.

Plus she wasn’t afraid to ask for what she wanted. Go girl.

4. That theme song tho

Ooh-ooh-oooooOOOOH

5. These kids had scooters

I mean ffs what didn’t these kids have at PCA #privilege

6. Zoey and Chase were endgame

Zoey and Chase shared a beautiful friendship but from day one we had to watch Chase pining for Zoey and Zoey in denial about her romantic feels for Chase. TBH we loved every minute of it.

Oh the pining.

It only took four seasons to get the pair sharing a kiss but things really moved pretty swiftly from there and we can assume that in the post-Zoey 101 dark age that Chase and Zoey ended up happily ever after.

7.  Logan falling for Quinn

Quinn was a child genius who managed to change Logan from his bad boy ways* – so honestly, she might be the biggest hero on the show.

*Fair warning that this is an extremely unlikely plotline and you should never try to change a fuckboi.

Literally, nothing was cuter than these two finding love in a hopeless place.

Stacy's reaction was pretty hilarious too.

8. The time capsule drama

The mystery of what Zoey said in the time capsule about Chase was ULTIMATE drama. An absolute narrative masterpiece at play.

Pretty fucking cruel Zoey tbh but you do you girl.

Seeing as this was 10 years ago, now should we have a Zoey 101 2018 reunion??

Just saying there is still some good juice left in the Zoey 101 series and fans who are here for this content always. Zoey 101 4eva.
