Just when we thought we had filled our quota of trash TV for 2018, Channel Nine has just dropped that they’re bringing the British reality show Love Island to Australia.

The news comes on the back of Ten announcing deets for the Bachelor In Paradise next year- so “Por que no los dos?”

For those familiar with the British pop culture phenomenon, this is THE BEST NEWS EVA. We’ve written about Love Island obsession before here and we are so keeen to see how it plays out Down Under.

The addictive show pairs-off singles together on a tropical island, forcing them to compete for a cash prize.

The latest UK season was pure filth and I loved every minute of it.

The network dropped the news at their upfronts today and shared this post with the public tonight:

The producers are already casting for the series, and the casting page says the show is looking for singles aged between 18 and 35 who are “warm, honest, open, and looking for love”.

Errr, sure.

If you’re keen, you can register your deets here. We can expect the series sometime in 2018.
