365 Days on Netflix might be a bad movie that makes zero sense but ooft, it’s getting all kinds of attention for its steamy sex scenes.
The Polish erotic drama is currently trending on Australian Netflix and follows an Italian mafia boss who kidnaps a woman, giving her 365 days to fall in love with him. The premise is obviously bonkers, as is the protagonist Massimo’s catchphrase “Are you lost, baby girl?” It’s the kind of movie that’s best taken not too seriously — the on-screen relationship dynamic is extremely troubling but the sex is pretty damn hot, especially the now infamous boat scene.
It’s unsurprising that this movie has found mass appeal. Many of us have been locked up for months due to the pandemic — and unable to engage in casual hookups — so a film which is basically a two-hour sex session has arrived at the perfect time.
