There’s A New Twist In Abbie Chatfield’s Feud With A Dog Instagram
There’s been a new development in Abbie Chatfield’s dog-gate situation and I am thrilled to be reporting on this incredible story once more. It’s Very Important Journalism and you can’t convince me otherwise.
ICYMI: Abbie has found herself in a feud with a Petfluencer Instagram account, after looking amazing in an outfit that showed some skin. Crime of the century, I know. It looks like Peggy and Molly’s owners have some strong feelings about Abbie and what she gets up to on a daily basis, because the pet account @peggyandmolly commented this on one of Abbie’s snaps: “Yep, look up ‘Attention Wh*re and you’ll see a pic of Abbie Chatfield.” The account is a fan page for Peggy the staffy, her daughter Ruby and their magpie friend Molly. It’s a popular account, with over 433,000 followers (including celebs like Sophie Monk).
I’m pretty sure that the owner forgot to switch to their finsta or burner Instagram account, because Peggy, Ruby and Molly surely wouldn’t have an opinion on Abbie… again, they’re dogs and a bird. After Abbie exposed Peggy and Molly, their owner claimed that their account had been hacked, but nobody’s buying that excuse.

Peggy and Molly lose Big Dog Pet Foods sponsorship over Abbie Chatfield feud.
Peggy and Molly’s biggest sponsor appears to be Big Dog Pet Foods, as they have “fuelled by @bigdogpetfoods” in their Instagram bio. Naturally, outraged pet owners everywhere have been busy messaging the pet food company about what their ambassador is really like behind closed doors. Or I guess in this case, how they acted in public.
The pet food company issued a statement on their Instagram story, before joining in the whole “Sexy Tops For Abbie” campaign (more on that below).
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us about the online trolling of Abbie Chatfield. We’re trying to get back to everyone but, in the meantime, please know that we do not support online bullying,” they wrote.
“We do not want to see anyone trolled – especially by one of our brand advocates. Please know that we have been messaging with Abbie and she’s been very understanding. We no longer sponsor the account involved.”
Fans rally around Abbie Chatfield with the “Sexy Tops For Abbie” trend.
The bizarre turn of events has now been reclaimed by fans of pups and Abbie everywhere. Instead of criticising Abbie about what she wears, animal owners have been dressing their own pets in sexy tops.
Here are a few of my faves:
P.S. Can someone please invent a dog and magpie translation device? I’d really like to interview Peggy, Ruby and Molly.
