OOP: It Looks Like Brooke Blurton Unfollowed Abbie Chatfield On Instagram
It’s The Bachelorette finale day, which usually is a day when we prepare to watch our Bachy finally choose their forever love. However, this year’s finale has been slightly overshadowed by drama between Brooke Blurton, one of her finalists, and former Bachelor contestant Abbie Chatfield.
Some eagle-eyed fans noticed this morning that Brooke no longer follows Abbie on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Abbie still follows Brooke. Yikes.
Brooke possibly unfollowing Abbie comes after the podcast host went Instagram official with Brooke’s fourth place runner-up Konrad Bien-Stephens. Abbie and Konrad began dating after meeting at a Byron Bay pub two weeks ago, with the two papped having a steamy pash — which came to light before Konrad had left The Bachelorette on our screens.
On Wednesday (the same day The Bachelorette airs) Abbie posted some cute couple pics of herself and Konrad to Instagram:

While it’s difficult to know for sure whether Brooke was following Abbie in the first place — it seems likely. Brooke has appeared as a guest on Abbie’s It’s A Lot podcast and has been featured in Abbie’s Instagram Stories. Along with this, Brooke actually liked the above post initially, which means there’s a good chance she was following Abbie’s account and saw it in her feed.
But the plot thickens: Brooke has since unliked Abbie’s post about Konrad. Either that, or she’s blocked Abbie which could mean that her like would no longer appear.
The timing of all this couldn’t be more awkward as Abbie will feature in tonight’s The Bachelorette finale, appearing as one of Brooke’s close friends to grill her final two — Jamie-Lee Dayz and Darvid Garayeli — about their intentions.
Former Bachelorette Angie Kent hasn’t been shy voicing her feelings around Abbie and Konrad low-key spoiling the show’s ending. Last night she posted to her Instagram Stories “Watching tomorrow night’s Bachelorette finale preview… knowing what’s happened today in the media and what’s potentially to come in tomorrow night’s episode,” she wrote, before joking that she was asking Alexa to play Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Torn’.
On a post about Angie’s comments on the So Dramatic! podcast’s Instagram, host Megan Pustetto wrote, “I mean, she [Abbie] could have waited until Monday, surely?” which was liked by 2020 Bachelor winner Irena Srbinovska, Alisha Aitken-Radburn, and you guessed it… Brooke Blurton (and later unliked).
What a mess!
