Like many reality TV stars before her, Alyssa Barmonde has made the move to monetise on her considerably bad portrayal on Married At First Sight via a merch line.

Thanks to Alyssa, most MAFS fans have the phrase “I have a child” permanently burnt into their brain. For some reason, they seemed to be some of the only words she could conjure up during her stint on the show; repeatedly telling her partner Duncan, the relationship experts, her co-hosts, and, probably, the entire production crew about her offspring.

The catchphrase spawned memes galore, but also, unfortunately, led to a lot of negative online criticism aimed at the reality TV bride. But, in her best public move yet, Alyssa has decided to figuratively say screw you to the trolls and has dropped some merchandise in an effort to earn some cold hard cash.

The mum of one has shared a pretty extensive line of 14 different products which all poke fun at two controversial lines she spat out on the show.

The first of those, as you already know, boasts the “I have a child” phrase. Alyssa’s second merch tagline is “I need attention”. Avid MAFS fans will remember these as the words she muttered out at the show’s couple’s retreat when her partner Duncan was, in fact, giving her a lot of attention.

Both four-word phrases have now been immortalised and emblazoned on the front of everything from tees to water bottles. The price of her merch ranges from the bargain basement amount of $7.50 to a fairly expensive levy of around $90.

Just in case the above paragraphs have made you lose your faith in humanity – don’t worry. Alyssa is donating some of the merch profits to the charity Bully Zero which is helping to curb bullying in Australia.

“Bullying can happen anywhere – at home, online, with friends, in a group, on the bus or at school, even in the workplace,” she writes on her website.

Approximately $3 from each of Alyssa’s sales will be donated to the Aussie charity, which is great and all for a $7 sticker – but not really that great for a $90 jumper.
