Sex and The City fans are clashing over the expected return of Aidan Shaw in Season 2 of And Just Like That, and some of the tweets are relatable as hell.

Over the weekend, the official And Just Like That social media accounts shared a pic of the highly anticipated second season. In the pic, Carrie Bradshaw can be seen reuniting with ex-flame Aidan Shaw — they’re even holding hands!

In case you needed a refresher on the characters’ history, Carrie and Aidan dated a total of two times in the series and even became engaged. Their first breakup was caused by Carrie’s affair with Mr. Big, which happened during his marriage with Natasha in Season 3.

The pair rekindled their relationship in Season 4, but things ultimately ended due to Carrie’s inability to commit to marry Aidan. Aidan was also uncomfortable with the platonic relationship between Carrie and Mr. Big due to their previous affair.

In Season 6, Carrie bumped into Aidan and learnt he was married with a child. In the movie Sex And The City 2, it’s revealed that Aidan has had two more kiddos since they last saw each other. The exes crossed paths randomly in Abu Dhabi where they went on a date and even shared a kiss.

What will happen next for the complicated exes? It looks like we will find out!

When And Just Like That was announced,  John Corbett (the actor who plays Aidan) hinted that his character would be making a return, but if you’ve watched Season 1, you’ll know it was a goddamn lie.

Since the Season 2 teaser was released, many fans have shared their thoughts on the possibility of Carrie and Aidan hooking up again in light of Mr. Big dying in Season 1.
