A List Of All The Comedians Who Have Kept Me Sane During COVID-19 Isolation

If you’ve found this COVID-19 pandemic to be an incredibly anxious time, don’t worry, you’re not alone.

With an inability to see many of our friends and family in person, most of us have turned to social media as a means of staying connected. And in this Internet space, I personally feel that I’ve found solace in the company of some very funny comedians. So, in the spirit of spreading some positivity, I’m gonna tell you who all my favourites are.

Here are the comedians who have kept me company throughout the COVID-19 pandemic:

Jordan Firstman

Ah, Mr. Firstman. Who knew that the only thing that would cure my anxiety during isolation was silly imitations of inanimate objects? You can find all of JT Firstman’s comedy on his Instagram page, where he does incredible photoshoots, reacts to his followers’ secrets, and does an impression of the publicist of the fly who landed on Mike Pence’s head. Comedy gold.

Ziwe

If you don’t know who Ziwe is, then you better get on it. Her social media accounts are currently filled with election commentary, but this icon brings the comedy whether it be through Instagram Lives, a collection of essays, or bangers on her debut album. Honestly, what can’t she do?

Benny Drama

If you’re looking for quick, punchy skit videos that randomly sum up your entire existence, Benito Skinner (aka bennydrama7) is your man. From his impersonation of a gay intern during a Zoom meeting to his impression of Shawn Mendes taking Camilla Cabello on a hike, everything he does makes me gag.

Meg Stalter

If improv is something that impresses you then you have to check out Meg Stalter. For the most part, pulling off improv comedy in a video format is an incredibly hard thing to do but, the way you can see Meg Stalter think in real-time often sends me in stitches.

Chloe Fineman

If uncanny impressions are up your alley then Chloe Fineman is your new essential follow. This SNL star is an absolute pro when it comes to her ability to impersonate. Personal faves of mine include her posts imitating Shia Labouff, Carole Baskin, and of course, Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Jay (@flossybaby)

Okay, while my TikTok For You page is mainly filled with a collection of viral videos, Among Us memes, and people hurting themselves, there is the occasional comedy influencer who makes an appearance and Jay is one of them. Whether it be her impressions of historical figures, her commentary on relationships, or her reactions to other viral videos, @flossybaby does it all.
