Reggie’s Historic ‘Big Brother’ Win Recapped Via The Best Tweets
Reggie Sorensen has officially become the first Big Brother housemate to have ever won twice!
Originally winning against radio host and TV personality Chrissie Swan in 2003, Reggie made history last night, beating newcomers Taras Hrubyj-Piper and Johnson Ashak. She is also the first female since Terri Munro in 2008.
As she celebrated her historic win, Reggie gave a shoutout to all her fans who voted for her and said “I hope I did you all proud”. And honestly, it was a no-brainer she would take the crown. She was obvi the fan fave and an OG housemate. Reggie also wouldn’t have made it to the finale if it wasn’t for Taras choosing her over intruder, Brenton Parkes.
The moment history was made! Congratulations to the first ever second-time winner, Reggie! ? ? #BBAU pic.twitter.com/PpbAiSg97F

But of course, before Sonia announced who was crowned winner of BBAU 2022, fans had a lot to say about the other housemates as they reflected on this year’s season.
Let’s recap the Big Brother finale in tweets:

How fabulous does Tim look!
Is he channeling the equally fabulous Moira Rose from ‘Schitt’s Creek’?#BBAU @BigBrotherAU pic.twitter.com/WkVAHUnsAw— Allan Raskall (@AllanRaskall) July 12, 2022
How it stared. On the #bbau road. Then @timdormer discovered he had courage all along. Nice work Tim. You were so much fun. pic.twitter.com/Abj2Yrnf1G

First week evictee, Josh Goudswaard, was also a target of Twitter scrutiny after his intentions in the house — to get back with his ex, Sam Manovski — were made clear.

That Josh speech about how he was approached to go on #bbau and how it was because of him Sam went into the house too- wow! Was not expecting that! I thought you have to apply to go on big brother? ?

And on the topic of Samantha, her relationship status with housemate Anthony Drew was made clear.

Before Reggie was officially announced the winner, people had a lot to say about housemate Taras and his place in the final three.
surely taras know he ain't winning that public vote..#BigBrotherAU #BBAU pic.twitter.com/I8qatMf4DG

soak up top 3 taras because you aren’t taking out the public vote tomorrow night x #bbau
— jade (@jadeyk01) July 11, 2022
TARAS is horrible sorry ? everybody forgot how he nominated Tully JUST BECAUSE she didn’t vote for him as "Head of House"…. #bbau + all these petty manipulative lying talks… ?

Some BBAU fans also thought that Brenton deserved a little more airtime.
Can I just say.. Justice for Brenton, the poor lad had barely any airtime, made it to top 4 and hasn't had a word in this finale, even Laura, Josh and Mel got screen time ???#BBAU
— Sarah (@20054sweets) July 12, 2022
Brenton not getting any airtime after almost making top 3 is robbery #BBAU
— Joshüa SD (@JoshTungcab_) July 12, 2022
I can't believe Brenton came 4th and they haven't given him any air time, but they find time for that silly pillow flip bit with some house mate from so long ago I don't even remember who they are… #BBAU

Lastly, fans rejoiced after it was announced that Reggie, the Queen of Big Brother won a second time.

“He EaRnEd iT mOrE tHaN aNy oTheR pLaYeR” – yeah ok, those physical challenges are really fair for someone like Reggie who is LEGALLY FUCKING BLIND.
Enough with the physical challenges. There are *so many* other options that don’t require one to be a “challenge beast”. #BBAU

It’s Taras’ fault, calls himself a great game player, but takes Reggie with him to the finals. I have to laugh im sorry ???? #BBAU
