Tim From ‘Big Brother’ Has Finally Addressed That Cooked Twitter Feud With Estelle

They spent most of this year’s Big Brother arguing nonstop, so it was fitting that both Estelle Landy and Tim Dormer were evicted this week.

There was no love love lost between Estelle and Tim in the house, as the BB legends clashed constantly over who to nominate, with Estelle often questioning Tim’s loyalty to the OG alliance, which included Reggie Bird, Tully Smyth, and David Graham.

But Tim and Estelle’s war has not been contained to the house, it spilled over to Twitter after Estelle tweeted last month accusing Tim and Anthony Drew of treating herself and Tully as a “punching bag” during filming.

In response, Tim quoted Estelle’s tweet and captioned it: “You are Big Brother’s Amber Heard. Cancel yourself and go away.”

Not great! Fans were quick to call out Tim for making such a tone-deaf remark.

We spoke to Estelle last month on Punkee’s podcast Reality Tea about Tim’s response to her tweet. “It probably wasn’t the best choice of words,” she said. “I wasn’t saying he was an abuser, so to get that tweet back and being called Amber Heard was just… wow. That was totally blown out of proportion. I was not implying that they were abusers. I would never trivialise something that is so heavy.”

Tim has remained silent over the Twitter beef, but has finally addressed the drama.  He uploaded a teaser from his new podcast, The Big Mouth, where he addressed his feud with Estelle and that infamous tweet.

Tim said sorry to Estelle and all the people he may have hurt with his words. “What I said was not right. I need to apologise to Estelle, [and] to anyone who I offended. That was me, that was my big mouth speaking out of hurt. I was really sad at some of the things that Estelle was saying about me. I thought she knew me better,” he said.

“I don’t know where Estelle and I’s relationship lies any more. I don’t know if playing the game together cost us our friendship.”

Tim’s clip has been flooded by positive comments from his BB costars. “Love you Tim. Can’t wait to listen to your podcast,” wrote Taras Hrubyj-Piper. Farmer Dave added, “Yay!!! You’re doing God’s work buddy,” and finalist Reggie commented, “Love you.”

Big Brother is getting set to head into finale week, after 10 (rather long) weeks of gameplay. The five finalists are: Reggie, Taras, Brenton Parkes, Aleisha Cambell, and Johnson Ashak.

The live grand finale will air on Tuesday 12 July at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
