Hallelujah! Netflix has finally announced the official return date of Bojack Horseman. After what feels like an eternity, season four will start airing on September 8, 2017.

The news is straight from the horse’s mouth:

It’s been a whole year since season four was announced and we have been waiting (somewhat) patiently for a date to put on the calendar. So cancel all your plans on Friday September 8 so that you can find out what the hell is going on with with Bojack, Princess Carolyn, Todd, Diane, Mr Peanutbutter and that teenage girl trying to get into contact with Bojack (who is she???).

The season three finale was epically dark (“that’s too much, man”) and there are a lot of questions that we need answered. First and foremost – is Bojack ok? Last time we saw him he was literally letting ‘Jesus take the wheel’ and drifting into the distance before he was hit with some kind of philosophical epiphany? What’s up man? We’ll be checking in soon.

In the meantime, we have even bigger and better news for fans. We’re hosting BoJack Horseman creator and Showrunner Raphael Bob-Waksberg at the inaugural ‘Video Junkee‘ – a festival for lovers of all things in film, streaming, TV and online video.

Bob-Waksberg will be chatting in a Q&A with Marc Fennell in Sydney about his wildly acclaimed dark comedy and how an animation about a humanoid horse became a global hit. Check out more details on this session here!
