Move over Ratatouille, there’s a new TikTok musical gaining momentum and it’s based on Netflix’s surprise summer sensation: Bridgerton.

The series stands at number one on Australian Netflix, as hysteria over the steamy period drama shows little sign of slowing down. From the memes about how hot the Duke of Hastings is, to people speculating over the identity of Lady Whistledown, the series has gifted us so much.

However, one unexpected development is the creation of a musical adaption of the Netflix series. Songwriter Abigail Barlow has turned Bridgerton into a musical, penning a few songs to kick it off and they’re all stunning. It started with Barlow’s debuting ‘Daphne’s Song’, a ballad which we can assume would be performed after the Duke breaks off his arrangement with Daphne to pretend to be courting.

CHILLS.

Barlow wasn’t done. She then dropped the duet to end all duets between Daphne and Simon titled ‘Burn For You’, which would take place at the beginning of the couple’s honeymoon.

She first posted herself singing the song alone:

@abigailbarlowwwExcuse the spit sounds let’s hear some Simons! 🥰✨ If u need reference go check out the original tiktok! ##bridgertonmusical♬ original sound – Abigail Barlow

Then other TikTokers added their own Simon parts and this one by @jer24601 is my personal favourite:

I am actually sobbing. Barlow also wrote a song for Penelope Featherington and it’s another absolute scorcher.

Aside from Barlow’s additions, another TikTok user Sophie Terry penned her own song for Eloise that’s another beautiful inclusion for the potential musical.

Programs are ready, let’s make this happen!
