I hope you like money and talking about money, because after a six year hiatus the Australian version of Celebrity Apprentice is back — and it’s actually got a solid line-up of celebs this time.

Last night’s premiere saw the likes of Survivor’s David Genat, Married at First Sight’s Martha Kalifatidis, and The goddamn Veronicas come together to battle it out for the title of the Celebrity Apprentice, which will be crowned by British business magnate Lord Alan Sugar.

The premiere saw the group split into two teams, both tasked with creating three pieces of art to be auctioned off to raise money for the team leaders’ charities. Each piece was inspired by three contestants from each team, so with David and Martha on one team — arguably two of Australia’s most attractive people — you’d think one or both being selected would be a no-brainer. However, team leader Shaynna Blaze somehow got convinced by young influencer Alex Hayes to let him be a muse.

I’m going to be honest with you: I don’t know who he is and even after watching the premiere, I still don’t know.

Anyways, Alex’s photo was a dud and the bidder he thought was going to pay big money for his high school art project fell through. Lucky for Martha, who gave absolutely nothing to the challenge, Alex’s error was even worse, so he was sent packing by the bossy Sugar Man. Bye!

It was a decent start to a promising season. My personal highlight was watching The Veronicas bicker like me and my sister when she borrows my clothes without asking. I’ve never related to the musical duo more.
