#CensusFail: Twitter’s Hilarious Reactions To The Crash-Fest That Was Census Night
Last night was Census night. Well, it was supposed to be, but ended up being the night where the majority of Australians screamed profanities at the Australian Bureau of Statistics website, as the page crashed across the country.
While it was originally assumed the ABS site was down because of bonkers levels of traffic – considering it was covering 9 million households in the space of a few hours – it looks like it was actually hacked in a series of attacks by foreign saboteurs.
With the struggle to complete the compulsory Census, came the many memes. Twitter went into overdrive, as the hashtag #CensusFail was trending worldwide.
