Daniel From ‘MAFS’ Making A Billboard Of Himself Is Some Real Cursed Energy
A curse has been unleashed upon Sydney after Married At First Sight’s Daniel Holmes posted a video of a mobile billboard promoting his amateur boxing fight with rival groom, Brent Vitiello
Honestly, it feels like Season 9 of MAFS has been dragging on with all the drama that has been spewed out since the finale but here we are again, this time with Daniel still well, err… being Daniel.
A couple of weeks ago, Daniel and Brent officially announced that they will be hashing out any pent-up beef in the boxing ring, organised by event company, Team Ellis Boxing.
On Thursday, Daniel posted an Instagram Reel showing himself and partner, Carolina Santos, acting surprised to see a billboard promoting the celeb squabble. It’s worth noting that on the banner, Brent is pushed all the way to the bottom of the frame next to a line saying “The stakes are at all new high”.
The MAFS groom shared the video with the caption: “Who did this!!”

The ad low-key reminds me of that scene in Shrek where Princess Fiona pushes down Lord Farquad’s cake topper to match his height. And just before you come for us, we love our short kings!!!
Things took a cringe turn when So Dramatic! revealed that the billboard was made by Daniel himself. “I organised it!” he told the podcast.
Let’s backtrack for a second because Daniel also posted an Instagram Story of himself being stunned when discovering the billboard. “It’s the weirdest thing,” he began. “I just see this randomly! What!”
Hun, are you OK? This is some real cursed energy.
Daniel told So Dramatic! the billboard was just a prank.
We’re not too sure if Brent will reply, as he previously said that he wouldn’t smack talk his opponent until they finally punch it out. “I’m a professional. I won’t be talking smack or playing online games. I’m a grown man. We talk in the ring,” he told Pedestrian.
Daniel has previously mocked Brent’s height in a poorly photoshopped Instagram post, showing Daniel towering over Brent in a boxing ring.

MAFS fans know that the boys never get along during the show, especially when Brent stood up to Daniel after he was hooking up with another wife, Carolina, who was originally paired up with Dion Giannarelli. The fellas continued to bicker on social media after the show through a variety of Instagram squabbles, leading to the grown men getting potentially physical later this year.
The fight is set to take place on 15 October but no other info has come out yet in regards to tix or venue. Will we be watching? I dunno.
