Nothing perks up my Friday morning more than news of a brand-new baby from a genuinely successful reality TV couple. So obviously I was chuffed to hear that Brad Jones and Clare Hockings from Farmer Wants A Wife have welcomed their son!

The couple shared their news on Instagram with a picture of the three of them on the farm. Straw hat and sunnies were present and the parents look elated to have their baby in their arms.

But we need to talk about the name. Farmer Brad captioned the announcement post with: Roy Grahame Jones has arrived 😍

There is no further context given, so I’ve had to figure out why they would have called their son Roy. My first theory is that it’s a family name of some kind, and perhaps Grahame is one too so they have been used as the first and middle names. If so, cute. Love a fam hand-me-down name. My second theory is that the couple binge-watched Sucession during their pregnancy and thought that the Roy family were the tits and needed to be commemorated in someway, so they named their firstborn after them. A bit less cute than the family name theory, but it is a strong, powerful move nonetheless.

Either way, we’re chuffed to see the fruits of reality TV romance and hope Brad, Clare and lil baby Roy are doing well.
