What A Proposal! David And Emily From ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Are Getting Married
I’m convinced Farmer Wants a Wife is the most wholesome dating show around, with a huge amount of success stories coming from the franchise. Of course, there are still some messy breakups, but in the era of drama-filled MAFS, I’ve gotta take what I can get.
I’ve had my eye on fan-favourite couple Farmer David and Emily since the show finished, with the pair looking extremely loved-up in snaps shared on Instagram. I was rooting for the pair’s happy ending, and they’re finally making things official. That’s right, they’re getting hitched!
The proposal took place on a romantic getaway in Mudgee’s Evamor Valley, with Emily being surprised when Farmer David dropped to one knee by the water. The reality TV contestant shared a video of the experience on Instagram, with a sweet and simple caption, saying: “My person for life. Love you.”

She also included some screenshots from FaceTime calls with her friends and family, showing off her ring alongside some celebratory bubbles.
Farmer David also shared a professional engagement photo on Instagram with a swoon-worthy caption. “Incredibly proud to announce, this Farmer has found his Wife,” he gushed.

If the location looked familiar to you, it’s because Farmer David and Emily spent a 24-hour solo date together here back while filming the show. He told 7Entertainment that he realised he was falling in love with Emily during that date.
“There was a moment at Evamor, when we were having a glass of wine as the sun was setting and I just knew this was something special. So, it was really important to me that when I asked Em to marry me, it had to be at Evamor Valley – the spot is just such a special part of our journey.”
Emily said that Farmer David picked the perfect place to propose, saying it’s an “important spot” that holds a special place in their hearts. “It was just such a surreal moment – David kept the secret very well. I had absolutely no clue!” she said.

Their fellow Farmer Wants a Wife contestants were quick to congratulate the pair, with Farmer Brenton’s ex Sophie Holcombe writing: “Incredible!!!!! Love you guys.”
“Congratulations this is so beautiful,” added Rachel Boothman.
“Congratulations lovers, Em you’re just so beautiful inside and out,” wrote Claire Saunders.
