Farmer Brenton Has Broken His Silence About His Split With Sophie
Farmer Wants A Wife’s Farmer Brenton and Sophie Holcombe had a fairytale romance on the Seven show, with the pair falling in love right before our very eyes. After the show wrapped up, Sophie gushed on Instagram about how meeting Brenton was “one of the best things” she’s ever done. Awww.
Fellow FWAW cast members Clare and Farmer Brad announced their surprise pregnancy a month after the show finished airing, and Sophie was the next alum to share a bombshell.
Sadly, it wasn’t a heartwarming update. In an Instagram story, the social media manager shared an update on her relationship status with Farmer Brenton, saying that the pair have quietly split.
“With a heavy heart, I want to let everyone know Brenton and I have gone our separate ways. Reg and I loved our life in Darriman and have been missing the farm a lot,” she said. “It’s a disappointing ending, but I’ve learnt a lot about myself and my values. I wish Brenton all the best and want to thank everyone for their support, especially my family and friends!”

Punkee reached out to Brenton to see if the pair were still friendly, and tbh, because I was praying for a chance that the couple would get back together.
The farmer didn’t have a bad word to say about Sophie, which is why FWAW is the most wholesome dating show around. (I mean, have you seen the messy drama surrounding the MAFS cast?!). And while he’s still Sophie’s biggest fan, it doesn’t look like the pair will be reconciling in the future.
“We are both still on good terms and Soph is an amazing person,” Brenton told us. “I have no regrets at all about choosing Soph at the end! She was my frontrunner the whole way through the show, and we have made so many memories together.”
“I wish Soph nothing but the very best.”

Farmer Brenton and Sophie Holcombe’s Instagram posts hinted at breakup before the announcement
Before Sophie posted the breakup announcement on Instagram, Farmer Brenton shared a carousel of his time on FWAW, including his appearance on The Morning Show with the other farmers. However, he didn’t include any photos of him looking cosy with Sophie, which was interesting.
“Still up there with some of the best times and best people,” he captioned the post.
On Sophie’s Instagram, the last photo she shared of herself with Brenton was on June 23, and since then she’s been on a trip with friends, spending time on the beach and making some delish-looking food.
Concerned fans questioned her about her relo status with Farmer Brenton, which we’re guessing is why Sophie finally made the announcement.
We’ll just have to wait for the next season of FWAW to prove that love is real. Again.
