‘FBoy Island’ Stars Reveal Secrets Behind The Jaw-Dropping Finale

FBoy Island has finally come to an end, and the finale episode was full of twists and surprises. We watched the leading ladies take their top two contestants on some steamy 24-hour dates, including seeing Joshy Allen strip down to his, well, birthday suit. 

But the biggest bombshells of all came during the final ceremony, where Molly O’Halloran, Ziara Rae and Sophie Blackley made their $50,000 decisions. 

Sophie was choosing between Nice Guy Justin McNairn or FBoy Joshy Allen, and although her share of the money was at risk, she decided to choose Joshy. While the pair are no longer together romantically, they’ve remained close friends. 

Next, Izaya Leota went all out to win Ziara Rae’s heart, choosing to drop the big L-bomb during his speech. Ziara instantly told him that she loved him as well, so Cory Brown knew that he was out of the running. Our youngest FBoy Island pair are still going strong, and we love to see it. 

And finally, Molly O’Halloran got the sweetest revenge on FBoy Vernon Lyon, after she invited his ex Brogan to reveal exactly what Vernon said to her before he came on the show. Apparently, he had planned to take home the $50,000 for himself, and hit Brogan up once filming wrapped. What a dog. Molly ended up with Nice Guy Nick Brown, who she’d had an instant connection with from the beginning, and they’re still smitten with each other. 

To get all the tea about the juiciest FBoy Island moments, we spoke to the three leading ladies Molly O’Halloran, Ziara Rae and Sophie Blackley, along with their winners Nick Brown, Izaya Leota and Joshy Allen. 

On what the 24-hour dates were like: 

Ziara: While I was with Cory, I was honestly just waiting to hang with Izaya. It also does look like in the show that Cory slept in my bed, but I want to completely debunk that, nothing happened. Cory slept out on the couch, but I wanted Izaya in my bed. And I think that would’ve been obvious if that was shown. 

Molly: Mine and Nick’s was pretty good. We had a lot of fun having a bit of a swim, and going back to the villa was pretty good. Got to see where the name cuddlebear came from, and his other nickname (Big Dick Nick), got to find out about that one too. 

Sophie: I was really looking forward to the 24-hour date, but with reality TV, you always realise that the cameras are there. We tried our best to ignore them, but it’s hard to connect. I chose Joshy for the life drawing because he makes everything so fun. My sexual side is sort of in the middle ground, and I felt like Joshy respected that and would match my energy. 

On how the boys were feeling waiting for a decision: 

Izaya: Going into elimination I was scared shitless, because I didn’t want Ziara to walk out with Cory. But I felt like everything was gonna fall into place and it did. I’m really grateful for that. 

Nick: I don’t know if Molly was trying to tease me, but I definitely didn’t think I was getting picked when she asked Vernon her final question. My head just dropped and I was like, I’ve just spilled my heart out to this girl and she’s going with the other bloke, I was pretty upset.

Joshy: It was definitely hard, it was tough. I felt really bad for Sophie that she had to make such a big decision as well, and I was really nervous. I’d also never been up for elimination before, so that felt weird. 

On Molly bringing Vernon’s ex Brogan to the finale: 

Ziara: We were completely blindsided. Sophie and I knew that Molly was up to something that day, but we didn’t know what. Seeing Brogan walk down, our reactions are so real. I was really feeling for Vernon, but you know, he did what he did. You can’t really complain about the end result. 

Molly: I was so nervous about Brogan’s entrance, that I barely even heard what Nick and Vernon said. It was really nice to have a bit of a one-up on the FBoys as well, I was so happy and so ecstatic to finally tell Nick that I’d chosen him. 

Sophie: Molly, I gotta tell ya, she’s a sneaky one. Me and Joshy were just like, ‘What is going on?’. It was crazy, but Vernon took it very well. 

On Izaya and Ziara’s declaration of love:

Ziara: We’d already said ‘I love you’ the night before on our 24-hour date at our intimacy dinner. I think I was the one to bring it up first, and then Izaya said it. 

Izaya: Rewatching it, I can see how nervous I was to say it. I’m the type to keep my emotions back and not express them, I just fully let go of everything to tell her I loved her in front of everyone, I needed to show her that I wanted this. 

Molly: That’s fast for any standards, but I’m incredibly happy for them. They’re absolutely gorgeous, and the fact that they were able to say that after three weeks and find it on a show called FBoy Island is great. 

Sophie: I had an inkling from the start. In the first episode, as Izaya watched Ziara walk down the aisle, I saw his face and I was like, ‘He loves you!’. I’m so happy for them. 

On what’s next for the loved-up couples: 

Ziara: We’re gonna go and travel for a month around the islands of Bali. And just spend some time together, be out in public. Watching it again and watching us fall in love again, I think we’ve fallen in love again, and it’s made us so much stronger.

Molly: It’s been fantastic getting to know Nick and his family, to see what he’s really like. I thought he was more of a player and a party boy, hence why I got rid of him in the beginning, but I was totally wrong. We’ve booked a trip to Fiji, and I’ll potentially use some of the prize money to relocate to be closer to him. 

Sophie: We’re only friends now, because we didn’t want the pressure of having a relationship coming off the show. We wanted to let the event settle, and a friendship is better than a relationship that could go south.
