Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
This movie has everything. A huge cast, a dysfunctional family, drama, crushed dreams and damn fine comedy. Half the time it’s hard to tell if your crying out of sadness or joy. The classic tale follows the Hoover family’s trek to a California for their young daughter Olive to perform in a ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ competition. Only there are some significant but hilarious bumps along the way that stretch the family, bringing everyone together through each of their impactions and struggles. It’s an ageless emotional rollercoaster that doesn’t need to rely on special effects and CGI, its an evergreen flick thanks to its ageless story telling.
