We’ll remember this show for a lot of things, like complex female characters, dragons and Kit Harrington. But because I’m too distracted thinking about how it will all end to focus on any of that, I’m spending my working hours looking back on the things that matter the most: the sex scenes.

Daenerys and Khal Drogo. Daenerys and Daario. Daenerys and her handmaiden that one time, kinda. Oberyn and Ellaria in the brothel. Jon Snow and Ygritte. Jon Snow and Daenerys. Jon Snow in my dreams. We could go on forever.

These are the best, hottest and steamiest sex scenes in Game of Thrones:

#1. Jon and Ygritte: Season 3, episode 5

Jon Snow has NO GAME and he’s thick as rocks but he can fuck. It’s a cold, hard fact. The moment he and Ygritte finally hook up after two seasons of heavy flirting, sexual innuendo and sleeping next to each other for “warmth” is the perfect end to any good forbidden romance: they bang.

Jon proves that he does know something after all, and that thing is pleasing a woman. The only thing I know something about is quotes from The Simpsons, so Jon definitely comes out on top — even is Ygritte is on top for this scene.

#2. Daenerys and Khal Drogo: Season 1, episode 2

While there’s debate over the sinister beginning of her relationship with husband Khal Drogo, Dany learns how to own a man and asserts her dominance marking an important turning point in her relationship. She orders Khal Drogo around in bed, and we all bend the knee to our QUEEN.

Don’t even get me started on her roleplay session with her handmaid to “practice”.

#3. Robb Stark and Talisa: Season 2, episode 8

It’s a bitch to rewatch this sex scene knowing that Rob and Talisa are about to be murdered horribly but hey, it was hot while it lasted (and if you let little things like death ruin your enjoyment of Game of Thrones, you’re not going to have a good time). After so many episodes thick with sexual tension between these two, their floor sex was a long time coming and so were they.

#4. Oberyn and Ellaria and like, so many other people: Season 4, episode 3

Oberyn could just stand around looking sexy and I’d put him in this list, but he and his best girl Ellaria have the hottest orgy in the entire show. Big bisexual energy from both of these lovers.

#5. Daenerys and Daario: Season 5, episode 7

We don’t even see them having sex and this is still one of the hottest scenes in the show. Dany ordering Daario to take off his clothes explains why everyone is so keen to follow this boss bitch. And we are ON BOARD with the actor change for Daario thanks to Michiel Huisman’s perfect backside in this scene.

#6. Grey Worm and Missandei: Season 7, episode 2

Just because Grey Worm doesn’t have a dick, it doesn’t stop them from having some Dracarys-level hot sex. The tension between these two had been building for FIVE SEASONS so it was extra satisfying to see them finally smash. Grey Worm might be the only man in the Seven Kingdoms who’s better with his tongue than Jon Snow.

They finally hooked up! That’s good. They don’t know that they’re related! Hmm, that’s bad. But they finally hooked up! That’s good? This show is wild.

Dany and Jon are the two hottest people in Westeros and we get to see Jon’s butt again so this scene transcends aunt/nephew etiquette.

#8. Tyrion and Shae: Season 1, episode 9

Have you heard this classic banger: “Hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number, let’s bone before I die in battle”.

Tyrion asks Shae to “Fuck me like it’s my last night in the world,” moments after they meet. Classic rom-com meet cute. The rest of their scenes together are equally steamy, and Shae always leaves satisfied.

#9. Ros, Armeca, and Littlefinger: Season 1, episode 7

Honestly I could do without Littlefinger in this scene but whatever, he’s there. Always creepy, sometimes educational, he’s watching Ros and Armeca get it on and critiquing their moves to help them become more believable prostitutes. The whole thing is weird but hot. This whole article is weird but hot.

#10. Cersei and Jaime in every scene, don’t @ me

They’re twins but they’re hot, get off my back.

There’s a lot of power being thrown around in their sex scenes, and even though they’re so wrong, they’re kinda so right.  I don’t know, I’m just very confused because it’s ending, go with me on this one.
