Be warned though! Gaming can unleash massive rage and competition that you may have never experienced in your whole relationship. These games could totally make or break your fling!
A Way Out
For couples who are looking for an action-packed escape from reality and an absolute mind f*ck ending, A Way Out will rock your world.
Like many of the other games that are on this list, this requires a looot of patience and anger management.
The game follows two prisoners, Leo and Vincent, who hatch an escape plan and evade authorities. As the developer’s website says get ready to “chase, strike, paddle and drive”. A Way Out is excellent if you enjoy games such as Grand Theft Auto and old fashioned mob movies.
It Takes Two
This one is for those who appreciate a little bit of gaming aesthetics, art, and a cheesy rom-com!
It Takes Two is a fun couple game that challenges the subject of love, divorce and the family dynamic.
Just as the title suggests, the game only requires two players as you take on the role of a couple who are facing divorce. May and Cody’s relationship begins to fail and as a result, their daughter has placed a love spell on them, forcing the couple to be trapped into voodoo-like dolls of themselves.
You must race against time in order to get into your own bodies before it’s too late! This game is super fun and can be challenging at times but you can also play a variety of mini-games to let some steam off.
Overcooked
If you’ve worked in hospo, you know.
Now this game has reportedly raised the stress levels of some gamers, relationships, and friend groups. Overcooked can be best described as your average restaurant game which includes cooking and serving customers BUT it has a massive twist. Each ‘kitchen’ is set in a different scenario from a hot air balloon to a swaying pirate ship.
The game can take up to four players, so it could possibly be a gaming double date must play!
Minecraft
As much as this game has been linked to little kiddos, it’s soooo much fun for creative adults as well!
Minecraft, the OG multi-player game allows gamers of all levels to build and create their own world. The game has two different modes, ‘Survival’ for those who want a little action and difficulty, and ‘Creative’, which allows people to just marinate in the block scenery and build whatever they want.
This game is super fun for couples ’cause like how cute would it be to build ur own block home with ur significant other!!! And go on mining dates, or deep-sea adventures… the options are endless. Minecraft also offers a variety of fun mini-games.
Dead By Daylight
Dead By Daylight, or DBD as the gamer girlies call it, is perf for couples who want a little jump scare.
This horror-survival game is for 4 vs 1, so like Overcooked, it can totally be a double date must-play! However, this game does hide a few jump scares and gory moments. This game requires four survivors to complete five generators in order to escape the killer. The killers are also played by a real person, as it is an online game, and is always randomised. Both survivors and killer have their own perks that can be used to win the game.
This game requires a lot of strategies BUT is super fun once you learn more about the character you and your partner choose to play.
And to the horror fans, there are so many familiar faces including Leatherface, Michael Myers, and even Ringu.
Now grab your partner, and if they’re long-distance sign on and get gaming! Also, don’t forget to create your matching gamer tags 😉 Happy gaming!
