Rupert From ‘MAFS’ Responds To Being Brutally Roasted On Gogglebox
Season 10 of Married at First Sight finished airing here in April, and the delayed broadcast in the UK wrapped up in early May. Despite the show seemingly being done and dusted, some contestants are getting a second wind of fame – but not always for the best reasons.
Gogglebox UK had their loveable TV participants watch some episodes of MAFS Australia, with one recently going viral on TikTok and Instagram.
Of course, nervous king Rupert Bugden and hottie Evelyn Ellis’ wedding was given the Gogglebox treatment, and you can’t help but feel so bad for old Rupes. It’s not his fault that Evelyn is that hot!
We checked in with Rupert to see if he’d seen the awkward moment, but he said he won’t be reliving his MAFS experience on Gogglebox, joking that it gives him “PTSD” to watch. Tbf, that’s probs the healthiest way to move on from his reality TV trauma.

We all remember Evelyn’s entrance, right? She looked incredible, and her slow-motion entrance was coupled with confident quotes from her, saying she was looking for “passion and a connection”.
- “What about a sweaty electrician?” Oof. Rupert’s in for a roasting.
- “Oh, he’s not confident at all the poor little bugger.”
- “He can’t believe it can he? Well look, he can’t even speak!”
- “Oh he’s lost for words, I love him.”
- “Give him a break, he’s terrified.”
- “‘You look very beautiful’ is what he said, he actually didn’t mumble then!”
- “Imagine if one of my sisters was standing up there. She’d go, ‘What? What’s he fucking saying? What?!’”

Ouch. At least Rupert’s back out in the dating world now, and he can find someone who suits his banter on Hinge.
