Erm, Excuse Me. Who Is Taylor Russell? Harry Styles’ Rumoured New Girlfriend
Something that lives rent-free in my mind is Harry Styles’ entire dating history.
I could whip up timelines, locations and the outfits he was wearing the moment a ‘new relationship’ of his hit headlines. It’s frankly useless information outside of incredibly niche trivia events, but it means that I am very quick on the response when there’s a new potential partner on the scene.
But before I dive into that, let me get you up to speed on his last romantic entanglement in case you were living under a crusty boulder for the last three years. Harry Styles was last linked to Olivia Wilde after the pair met on the set of the movie (that feels like a movie), Don’t Worry Darling. Olivia was the director and Harry was the leading lad, and the two began dating fairly quickly.
While they weren’t a ‘public’ couple, they attended friend’s weddings together, spoke lightly about one another in press interviews and Harry even got an ‘Olivia’ tattoo on his thigh.
The couple split at the end of 2022, amidst their film’s hectic press tour, but supposedly remain “good friends” to this day.
Since their separation, neither Harry nor Olivia has been spotted dating anyone else, but that all changed this morning when ‘Taylor Russell’ began trending on Twitter (or X, who the heck knows).
So let’s dive into who this chick is, how certain I am that she’s dating Harry Styles and who else she’s supposedly dated in Hollywood.
Who is Taylor Russell?
Great question. Straight to the point.
Taylor Russell is a Canadian actress, director and dancer. She’s best known for her roles in indie films Waves and Bones and All and most recently she’s moved to stage for a UK production of the play The Effect. It was on the opening night of her stage show where she was spotted getting up close and personal with Harry Styles.
“It looked like they were holding hands,” the insider told TMZ.
“Harry stayed by Taylor’s side the whole time. He introduced her to James [Cordon] and was whispering to her and laughing and smiling,” the source continued.

Taylor’s family moved around a lot when she was a kid, following her father around in pursuit of his own acting career. “I didn’t grow up in a wealthy family,” she told ELLE in 2019.
“My parents struggled; we were on welfare. Things changed a lot, so there was always an opportunity for reinvention, to create something new.”
When Taylor and her family moved to America, she said she was hit with a bit of a culture shock, explaining that people in Canada are “more reserved and they’re very, very polite”.
So makes sense that she’s warmed to a British gent over an American boy.
When did Harry Styles and Taylor Russell start dating?
The pair were first linked from July 2023, when Taylor attended one of Harry’s world tour concerts in Vienna, Austria.
TMZ actually nabbed some footage of Taylor being escorted by one of Harry’s team members back to an area usually reserved for friends and family, which obviously set the internet ablaze with rumours that they were definitely ‘a thing’.
If that wasn’t enough, paps also caught them holding hands and wandering around Vienna together the next day. I’ve only ever seen Harry Styles hand in hand on a stroll with two other women: Olivia Wilde and Taylor Swift. So I think we all know that he only does this with the people he’s actually dating.
Who are Taylor Russell’s ex-boyfriends?
While nothing has actually been confirmed on this front, Taylor was once rumoured to be with Timothee Chalamet. Yes, the Willy Wonka actor who’s now in another rumoured relationship with Kylie Jenner. The Hollywood dating pool is honestly more of a puddle at this point.
The two met on the set of their movie Bones And All and reportedly had ‘great chemistry’ during their press tour – despite the movie being all about cannibalism.
At the time, Timothee shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram, captioning the pic, “tnt”. While I thought that was referring to the highly explosive molecule, apparently it actually means “til next time” – suggesting Timmy was counting down the days until their next hang.
