‘Heartbreak High’ Will Return For Season 2 So Praise The Eshay Gods
Heartbreak High’s class will soon resume, as the popular Netfllix teen series is officially returning for Season 2.
The Australian series proved to be a breakout success, remaining in the top 10 for TV shows on Australian Netflix for five weeks since its release. Heartbreak High also spent three weeks in the global top 10 TV shows on Netflix and amassed over 42 million hours of views in the three weeks.
The series also reached the top 10 TV shows in over 43 countries on Netflix including in US, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Even away from the streaming platform, Heartbreak High found huge success on TikTok, with the show’s hashtag garnering 300 million views.
In short, Heartbreak High has done us proud.

Heartbreak High is a reboot of the ’90s teen drama, and revolves around the character of Amerie after she becomes a social pariah at Hartley High when a ‘sex map’ she made is circulated around the school, which links a circle of students based on their hookups. Thankfully, outsiders Quinni and Darren embrace Amerie in her time of need.
The eight-episode series tackles a wide range of issues that affect teens, like sex, dating, consent, slut-shaming, racism, mental illness, and even eshays.
There’s no word yet on when the new season will arrive on Netflix, but hopefully sooner rather than later as I need my Darren fix.
