The Honey Badger Is Our Next Bachelor & Aussies Either Love It Or Bloody Hate It
Australia has a new Bachelor, or err Badgelor, in rugby player Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins and reactions couldn’t be more divided.
For some, especially non-sports fans, they don’t even know who the bloody hell he even is, while others have been loyal fans of the true blue, one-liner machine for yonks.
He is certainly a bachy whose appearance is vastly different from the hunky meat men we’ve seen before, in Matty J or Richie.
Weird how everyone's photo of their dad from the 70s amalgamated into a living being and then became the bachelor. pic.twitter.com/zSiTkWARqe

The choice of another well-known identity to front a Bachelor season, following Sophie Monk’s sensational season of The Bachelorette, is a controversial one.
Possibly marking the end to regular randoms getting a chance to hand out flowers to attractive strangers, preferencing people that audiences already know and have strong opinions towards.
Is it always going to be a famous face from now on? Who knows. But the choice has people going through a range of emotions.
Reactions to The Badgelor are firmly either in the ‘love’ or ‘hate’ camp:
Most Aussies are keen as a bean for it.
Having The Honey Badger as the next Bachelor (Badgerlor perhaps) is genius because female viewers are going to watch regardless, and I think it may pull in a few male viewers who want to see what lines @nckcmmns comes out with. Plus have you seen him in his undies? pic.twitter.com/cBD4xJTfXb

Never watched this show before but I’ll make an exception for the Honey Badger.

But a few were not convinced with the selection AT ALL.
COME ON The Bachelor is meant to be a dreamy but completely generic guy you can project your fantasies on.
Not the bloody Honey Badger.
WHAT.

We will have to wait and see what Nick brings to the table, but we can expect a bachy season different from anything that has come before.
