No, Lana Del Rey Isn’t Summoning Demons To Her Concerts

Lana Del Rey has clapped back at a Christian influencer after she was accused of *checks notes* summoning “demonic energy” during one of her concerts. According to this wild theory, Lana Del Rey’s “witchcraft” invited demons to her gig and pushed a bunch of people in the crowd over.

Traci Coston has racked up almost 600K views on this bizarre PSA, and yes, she’s being serious. In her video captioned “Demonic Energy Knocks Over Lana Del Rey Crowd”, the influencer shared the footage where a bunch of Lana’s crowd fell over.

“Lana Del Rey has been open about practising witchcraft, and y’all look what happened at one of her concerts. This stuff is so real,” she began, before saying that the singer puts a “spell” on her music to make it “attractive”.

“Those demons are being invited into the crowd and into you when you attend [her concerts]. These demons will destroy your life.” Wow. She’s not messing around.

And if you’re wondering which one of Lana’s songs is particularly ~demonic~, she was singing ‘Pretty When I Cry’ when the domino effect took place.

The singer had a religious upbringing and has previously talked about how she sang in church choirs as a child, so she had the perfect response ready to whip out.

“Bitch I know the Bible verse for verse better than you do. PS. You’re giving off sure gremlin energy. Not in a good way,” she commented. The influencer swiftly turned the comments off, but not before fans took a screenshot of Lana’s zinger.

Wait, does Lana Del Rey actually practice witchcraft?

Lana made headlines back in 2017, when she appeared to use witchcraft and dates of the waning crescent moon to remove Donald Trump from office.

“At the stroke of midnight… Feb 24, March 26, April 24, May 23… Ingredients can be found online,” she tweeted.

When NME asked if she’d actually attempted to put a hex on Donald Trump later that year, she confirmed everybody’s suspicions. “Yeah, I did it. Why not? Look, I do a lot of shit,” she declared. “I’m in line with Yoko and John and the belief that there’s a power to the vibration of a thought. Your thoughts are very powerful things and they become words, and words become actions, and actions lead to physical changes.”

Fans have discussed Lana’s witchy persona in-depth online, with a bunch falling into the Lana Is A Witch camp.

“She said she hexed Trump so. I think she’s a witch solely off the trance her music puts you in,” one person commented.

“There’s a photo in her poetry book that looks like an altar. She’s also posted about important moon cycles and astrological occurrences. She definitely seems like a practising witch,” another said.

“She’s talked about it, made specific symbols in some photos plus there’s a literal spell in one of her songs,” a third added.

“‘Black Bathing Suit’ is her witchiest song to this day, there’s crows in it literally and at the end her own backing vocals are witchy as fuckkkkk it’s SO GOOD,” another pointed out.

So, if Lana is a witch, why isn’t the Christian influencer worried about getting hexed? Just a little spell, like regular interruptions to her WiFi or stepping in water after putting clean socks on. That’s the type of petty that I can get behind.
