If you’re like me and an absolute slut for hazelnut, then get ready for some big news: Kinder is bringing their Happy Hippos to supermarket shelves nation-wide in Australia, starting from today!

Sure, it’s not the Kinder Bueno block of our dreams… yet. But I’ll take any delicious Kinder treat, especially one that looks as cute as this.

These bad boys have a cult following across the globe and are a bit of a biscuit-chocolate hybrid. The hippo-shaped biscuit has a crispy wafer shell, filled with that classic, delicious creme filling, and meringue sprinkles to top it all off. They’re available in two flavours: cocoa and hazelnut.

From May 6, the Kinder Happy Hippo will be available in leading supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide and will set you back $4.50 for a five-pack.

Now, BRB, I’m going to start packing myself a lunch box again for the purpose of including this little treat.
