It’s hard to believe it was only a few days ago we said goodbye to Lauren and Matt on MAFS, because already so much has happened since then.

The two had a dramatic enough time on the show, from Matt losing his virginity, to Lauren then opening up about her sexual preferences and allegedly scaring the sh*t out of him.

Lauren has since given an interview to KIIS 1065 about her time on the show, ready to clear up some mistruths and rumours. And look, it’s pretty spicy stuff.

Here’s what Lauren had to say about her time on Married At First Sight:

Married At First Sight Lauren

1. She never wanted to use the phrase “lesbian” to describe her past relationships.

She went on telling the show: “So initially my answer was when I was about 18 to 20 I had a bad experience with a guy and I just hated men as a result. And so I dated only women.”

2. Her producer then wanted her to refilm the scene and use the word lesbian instead

“My producer was like ‘We’re going to get you to reenact that, say it again but use the word lesbian’. I was like ‘I am not OK with that, I do not label myself a lesbian.’ It didn’t feel right.”

3. She’s not into swinging or threesomes.

In fact, she said she was using examples of her friends’ lives to Matt to show him the scale of other people’s relationships  She admitted to “testing” Matt with that info, to try and get a reaction out of him as she was getting frustrated by him shutting down.

4. Lauren said producers will say they’ll keep them there all day if they have to, to get the lines they want from the cast.

5. Lauren believes Matt probably should have been cast on a show like MAFS.

Answering a fan question, Lauren said she was concerned when Matt told her he didn’t feel like he fit in on this earth and that she didn’t know what to do. “Even if it’s our choice, in the end there should be a duty of care,” Lauren said about people suffering mental health issues being chosen to go on the show.

6. She said she asked if Ines was a planted actress and Ines denied it. Lauren then went on to say she had “never seen a good side to her”.

7. Lauren said in her opinion no one should ever do the show and if they did they’d have to have the thickest skin.
