Once again, Lea Michele has clapped back at rumours that she’s illiterate and this time she’s used her personal TikTok.

ICYMI Lea Michele, AKA Rachel Berry from Glee, allegedly can’t read. According to Page Sixthe rumours stem back all the way back to the One More Thing podcast hosted by Jaye Hunt and Robert Ackerman. In one of their poddy episodes, the pair pulled up evidence that suggests the Scream Queens star can’t read including her short Instagram captions. They also mentioned Naya Rivera’s (Santana Lopez on Glee) memoir Sorry Not Sorry, where she mentioned that Lea refused to improv on the show.

The rumour has been making the rounds for a while: back in 2018, Lea tried to address the rumours by acknowledging a fan who called out the bizarre tale.

Lea Michele Can't Read Rumours Finally addressed

Coming into the present day, the Funny Girl actress has taken to her personal TikTok account to poke fun at both the rumours and herself, proving herself to be a self-aware queen.

The text within Lea’s video reads, “Calling Jonathan (Groff) to read me the comments on my first TikTok,” and honestly the audio that was paired with the text just puts the cherry on top for a great self-roast.

TikTok users, Gleeks, Rachel Berry enthusiasts, and more united in the comment section to play into the joke. One user wrote, “He [Jonathan Groff] probably typed this out too 🥰 so cute!!!”

Another said, “I can’t wait for you to hear the responses on this TikTok!”

Other TikTok users also pointed out that the caption of the video is just as quick “lol 😉🤪😌”, which relates to those Instagram conspiracy theories that are linked to her inability to read.

Lea Michele Can't Read Rumours Responds To TIkToks

Lea previously tried to address the rumours that she couldn’t read earlier this month. In an interview with The New York Times, Lea got really candid about the rumour saying “it’s sad.”

“I went to Glee every single day; I knew my lines every single day. And then there’s a rumour online that I can’t read or write? It’s sad. It really is. I think often if I were a man, a lot of this wouldn’t be the case.”

But despite her efforts to clear her name, readers of the article noted that she did not say yes or no to the speculations.

Unfortunately for her, it looks like the bonkers rumour will never, ever die. Sorry, Rachel Berry.
