Chris Colfer Made The Shadiest Comment About Lea Michele And I’ve Never Felt More Alive
This is not a drill. The Glee gang are fighting again!
In case you’ve been living under a particularly large rock, the Glee cast has become synonymous with controversy since the (high-key bonkers) series finished airing in 2015. Most of the scandals have revolved around Lea Michele, who played diva Rachel Berry in the ’00s series.
The actress has had several accusations levelled against her by former Glee cast members. Most egregiously, in 2020 Samantha Ware claimed Lea bullied her on set and made racial microaggressions. Samantha’s allegations that Lea created a toxic work environment were backed up by Glee’s Amber Riley and Heather Morris. In response, Lea issued an apology on Instagram.
This brings us to 2022 when Lea was cast in the Broadway production Funny Girl, replacing Beanie Feldstein who decided to step down from the role. This was a real full-circle moment for Glee fans, as Rachel spent the series desperately wanting to be cast in the musical’s leading role of Fanny Brice.
However, there’s one Glee alum who most definitely won’t be watching Lea on Broadway, and that’s Chris Colfer, who played Kurt. Chris joined Michelle Collins on her Sirius XM show and when he was asked about Funny Girl, he didn’t mince his words.

As Michelle invited Chris to see Lea Michele’s Funny Girl with her, the actor replied, “My day suddenly just got so full.” He added that he had just seen another musical, Six, which he called “amazing”.
The shade of it all.
At this point, Chris was trying to change the subject but Michelle pressed on asking why he wouldn’t see Funny Girl as her guest. He simply retorted, “No, I can be triggered at home.” Wowza.
For what it’s worth, Lea Michele has been receiving rave reviews for her Funny Girl role.
Lea hasn’t responded to Chris’ shady comments, but she did post an Instagram Story to share she was recently listed as one of 53 people selected as the “New Power of New York” list, which is a clapback if I ever did see one.
