This New Lindsay Lohan Netflix Christmas Rom-Com Sounds Bonkers & I Can’t Wait
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting Lindsay Lohan’s career comeback for the last 15 years, then today is a blessed day.
Netflix has announced that Lohan will star in an upcoming Christmas rom-com. That’s right! At long last, our girl is back where she belongs: on our TVs and in our hearts. The ‘Rumours’ singer’s last two projects were her ill-fated MTV reality show Lohan’s Beach Club and Australia’s own The Masked Singer, so this career move marks a return to her first passion as an actress.
So what is the movie about? Check out the synopsis below:

OK, I have questions! Is Lohan playing a hotel heiress to get her ultimate revenge on longtime frenemy Paris Hilton? Who will play her fiancé? Why wasn’t her fiancé with her when she had a skiiing accident? Is she falling in love with the “blue-collar lodge owner” or the “precocious daughter”? It’s a Christmas movie, so clearly someone is falling in love. Either way, I am in!!!!
According to Variety, the movie will commence filming in November, so don’t expect the flick to premiere before late 2022 at the earliest. Hallmark Channel legend Janeen Damian will direct, while MPCA’s Brad Krevoy and Riviera Films’ Michael Damian will produce. MPCA are the same people behind the iconic A Christmas Prince trilogy, so Lohan is in good hands.
So could Li-Lo be the next Christmas movie leading lady? It wouldn’t be the first time that a child star made the pivot to Christmas movie icon. Vanessa Hudgens went from the High School Musical movies to featuring in Netflix’s The Princess Switch trilogy and The Knight Before Christmas.
We are overdue for a Lohanssaance — and we can’t wait!
