Netflix’s reality dating phenomenon Love Is Blind is about to wrap up another season.

This year, six couples ended up engaged after meeting in the pods without actually setting eyes on each other in the ultimate blind date scenario. Each couple only meet face-to-face after becoming engaged, before they embark on a honeymoon, move in together, and decide if they will go through with their wedding.

On the most recent episode, five couples ended up at the altar and had to decide if they would take the plunge and get married for real. Two out of the five couples actually got hitched: Jarrette and Iyanna, along with Nick and Danielle. The first couple getting married wasn’t all that surprising as Jarrette and Iyanna formed a close bond, however Nick and Danielle had one of the most tumultuous relationships on the show. They constantly argued over Danielle’s insecurities and their contrasting lifestyles. So errr, good luck to them!

On couples that didn’t make it to wedded bliss, Sal dumped Mallory citing that he didn’t think they were at a stage where they were ready to commit to marriage. Deepti spectacularly dumped Shake, who had been bad-mouthing his fiancé all season complaining he was not physically attracted to her, and even saying she looked like his aunt. In a masterclass on self-worth, Deepti told Shake at their wedding: “I deserve somebody who knows for sure. So, I’m choosing myself and I’m going to say no”.

We simply must stan Deepti forever.

The theme of strong women dumping mediocre men continued as Natalie ended her engagement to Shayne, following an explosive fight where he told her that he hated her. Shayne was left stunned that Natalie wasn’t keen on marrying him after he made that savage comment, reminding us all that some straight men cannot be helped.

Love Is Blind fans were quick to joke that Shayne probably slid into Shaina’s DMs after being ceremoniously dumped, as the controversial contestant had previously told the engaged man that he was her “number one” pick before making a snarky remark that he and Natalie were incompatible. I mean, she wasn’t wrong!

We will hopefully find out if Shayne moved on with Shaina or potentially got back together with Natalie on the reunion later this week. Until then, we’ve rounded up the funniest memes from the weddings.
