Love Island is coming back on the 31 October, and Channel 9 has brought some new twists and turns to the hit reality TV show. Just like the first season of Love Island, 2022’s show will be back in the Spanish villa.
One of the bigger twists is that this season will be prerecorded, whereas every other season has been filmed live. It is also rumoured that three alternative endings were prerecorded, so just like the rest of Australia, the islanders will find out who truly won only when the finale episode airs.
TBH it is way too early to judge how these changes will impact the show, but for now, we’ve got the cast list, and we must say, there’s a lot of love for the AFL with a bunch of players running into the villa. One of the girlies also claims that Sydney AFL players are much nicer than Melbourne ones, which is kinda tea.
So without further ado, here’s the Love Island cast for 2022:
Claudia Bonifazio, 23
Andre Coutinho, 24
Holly Oakes-Ferguson, 25
Austen Bugeja, 22
Jessica Losurdo, 26
Callum Hole, 24
Layla John, 20
Tak Chipangura, 22
Conor Howard, 26
Phoebe Spiller, 22
Jordan Dowsett, 25
Stella Hutcheon, 24
Mitchell Eliot, 25

Rumours are still swirling that Married At First Sight’s golden boy Al Perkins is joining the villa, and we reckon that the shoey king will be entering as an intruder.
Sophie Monk, host of Love Island, all but confirmed this by revealing a “famous groom” will be among the contestants in the villa.
So with that cheeky little rumour bumping around, we will be keeping our eyes peeled for that bombshell.
