Another ‘Love Island’ Couple Have Split Less Than A Week Since The Finale
When it rains, it goddamn pours. Earlier this week, Love Island finalists Jess Velkovski and Aaron Waters confirmed they had already split, and now another popular couple have bitten the dust.
Courtney Stubbs and Noah Hura have ended their short-lived relationship. Courtney was an OG contestant, while Noah was introduced during Casa Amor week. The news isn’t particularly shocking, as Courtney and Noah weren’t the strongest couple in the villa, breaking up and reuniting several times. However, it is quite grim that the finale only aired a week ago and two couples have already called it quits.
Love Island’s social pages confirmed the news on Tuesday:

The couple has cited the distance from living in different cities as the reason their relationship ended. “He can’t come to the Gold Coast, I can’t go to Melbourne without coming home. The border closures caused quite a problem for us,” Courtney told 9Entertainment. “We had a really strong connection but being apart from each other and being as fragile as we were has made us drift apart.”
Noah echoed Courtney’s sentiments. “It does suck and it is really sad because I do think we get along really well. The timing with everything at the moment is hard,” Noah said. “I still really care about her. I think she’s an amazing person. I can’t really fault her.”
The news won’t come as a huge surprise to Love Island fans, as following the finale neither Courtney nor Noah have featured on each other’s Instagrams. They also don’t follow each other which is often a telltale sign that something is amiss.
It was the same story for Aaron and Jess, who did not appear on each other’s Instagrams at all in the days after the finale. Jess told 9Entertainment regarding the split, “I obviously have a lot of respect for Aaron and there’s no bad blood between us. I wish him all the best in the future. It’s sad it didn’t work out but I think it’s for the best for both of us.”
While rumours have circulated that Jess tried to keep the winner’s money in a pre-recorded segment which caused their split, 9Entertainment have confirmed that it was Aaron who received the envelope with $50,000 and he elected to split the prize money with Jess if they won.
In the end, it was Mitch Hibberd and Tina Provis who took home to prize money. Thankfully, they appear to still be an item, as do other finalist couple Chris Graudins and Zoe Clish.
